Somewhere along my cloth diapering journey, I decided to use cloth wipes. I think I went two or three months using disposable wipes until I realized that was just silly. Why cloth diaper and still use disposable wipes? I though about my reasons for switching to cloth diapers...and then thought how I would get the same benefits by switching to cloth wipes. Cloth wipes are cheaper in the long run, safer for baby and safer for the environment.
I started off making my own cloth wipes by recycling old flannel receiving blankets. Over time, I heard of companies that made cloth wipes out of different fabric and I was eager to try them. I bought a couple different brands but I didn't see the difference from mine to theirs. So, I decided I wouldn't buy anymore, I would just make my own.
Later on, I was given the opportunity to review a set of (6)Small Organic Super Wipes from The Willow Store. The Small Organic Super Wipes measure 6in by 6in, although the ones I received were slightly bigger, measuring 6.5 by 7 after washing them. At first sight, I knew they were different from all of the wipes I had used before. These wipes feature two distinct layers. Terry and a plush-like layer. The plush layer is super soft and I found to be great for runny noses and messy faces. I used the terry layer for cleaning heavier, stickier messes. Ex: Sticky lollipop faces and hands, drink spills and of course, a poopie bottom.
I am very happy with my Super Wipes and for once, I found a wipe worth buying. The double layer makes them very versatile, very efficient when cleaning up a mess, and they are super soft! High quality, for sure!
The Willow Store has more than cloth wipes, ya know. You can also find cloth diapers and training pants, cloth pads and cloth accessories!
