I love to cook. I love for my food to have flavor. I love to use DaVinci Gourmet Syrups!
I had the opportunity to review three DaVinci Syrups in Vanilla, Hazelnut and Caramel flavors. I knew right away what I would be using these for.
My family loves pancakes, in fact, we eat pancakes every Saturday (and some days in between). I thought it would be great to add some DaVinci Vanilla Syrup to my pancakes and let me tell you...I am so glad I thought of that! They were, by far, the most delicious pancakes I had ever made and all I did was substitute 1/2 cup of water with the vanilla syrup! Since that first day, I have been using the vanilla syrup in my pancakes every time I make them.
I bet you can guess what I used the DaVinci Hazelnut Syrup for..?.. You Bet, Coffee!! I typically buy hazelnut flavored coffee but to test this syrup out, I went with a morning blend and added my own hazelnut flavor. I simply added 1tbs of DaVinci Hazelnut Syrup to my coffee and stirred. It was delicious and tasted like it came from a coffee shop (except a whole lot cheaper!)
Now, I am not a huge fan of Caramel but I found a great recipe on their site and decided to try the Sugar-Free Caramel Delight Hot Chocolate. This is very simple to make and I had all the ingredients on hand. I added a couple things to the recipe to make it fun for my kids. We mixed the hot cocoa with hot water, added the syrup and heavy cream and added some whipped cream on top and a sprinkle of red sugar crystals (the Christmas kind). I know that defeated the purpose of it being sugar-free...but it was so good and looked so pretty!
I was more than pleased with all of the syrups and would highly recommend you try them. I actually saw a couple flavors at Walmart and bought a bottle of Vanilla for about $3!
