Shaklee Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaner *Review* and #giveaway! {Green Resolutions Giveaway Hop}

Have you thought about making the switch to eco-friendly cleaning products but are worried they might not get the job done? I have felt that way before. Shaklee is a company that makes and sells natural, effective products that are safe for humans, animals and our precious earth.

Andrea, from Maia the Bee, sent me a sample of Shaklee Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate to review. This was my first experience using an eco-friendly cleaning product, other than detergent so I was pretty excited!

With this tiny capsule, I was able to to make two full bottles of all purpose cleaner!! When I first used it, I only used about 1/4 of the capsule and prepared the bottle pictured below.

When I shook it up, it created some bubbles which I was happy to see. It was a bit soapy and cut grease big time! I used this for about a month on my stove, kitchen counters and table and even in the bathroom. It cleaned up oil splatters on the stove, dried up juice and food particles on the kitchen table and made my counter tops sparkle!
This cleaner has no scent which means we don't have to breath the fumes other cleaners produce. I can now allow my daughters to clean up the table after dinner without worrying if they are breathing in any fumes...I'm usually pretty paranoid and I'd just rather do it myself.

I have found a product that gets the job done and is easy on the wallet and the planet. I would recommend you try it out for yourself!

To Purchase
A full sized(16oz) container of Basic H2 can be purchased for just $12.15 OR if you sign up to be a member, you can purchase it for just $10.35! This 16oz container will make up to 48 gallons of cleaner when mixed with water! WOW! Purchase HERE!

Green Resolutions~ Sponsor Spotlight: Bummas cloth wipes *Review*

As a mama trying to be on the "greener" side, I use lots of reusable products. It is important to me that my family is throwing away the minimal amount each week so I try, in every way, to be green.
Making the switch to cloth is one of the best choices I have ever made. I only wish I would have done it sooner. I started by switching to cloth diapers and I was still using disposable wipes. Soon after, I decided to try cloth wipes. I am so glad I did!

I had the opportunity to review a pack of Bummas cloth wipes.
I was sent The Wild Ones.

Bummas cloth wipes are made of 100% cotton~Woven Velour Terry Cloth. One side is very smooth and soft and the other has the texture of a towel. That makes these wipes very versatile. I have used the soft side for wiping my babies sore, boogery noses and patting off previously wet-wiped bums. The textured side is great for the dirtier jobs. I like to use this side when cleaning sticky hands and faces and of course, a poopie bottom.

These cloths measure 5x7, which may seem a bit small, but they get the job done. Although we mostly use these for the babies, I have found even another way they are useful. For myself! At times, I use these instead of toilet paper! I must say, these dry much better and leave nothing behind(like some toilet paper's do) Some might think that is gross, but I assure you, you wont feel that way once you use them for yourself. (~For the record, I use these for #1 only :)
Bummas wipes are so easy to care for. They get tossed in the diaper pail and washed with the diapers. I have been using them for about a month now and they have been washed a ton of times. They have not shrunk or pilled and they are still super soft, just like when I received them.

Bummas Cloth Wipes come in 5 different color variations.
  • The Girls~ you guessed it...pinks and purples
  • The Boys~ blues and greens
  • The Tropical Ones~ bright and colorful
  • The Calm Ones~ earthy browns and greens
  • The Wild Ones~ one of each color, just for fun
To Purchase
You can purchase Bummas wipes on their website as well as some local retailers.

"Green Resolutions Blog Hop"~Sponsor Spotlight: My Cloth Baby *Review*

I am so excited to introduce you all to a new cloth diaper shop I found recently. My Cloth Baby! At My Cloth baby, you will find cloth diapers in an awesome variety of colors and prints. On top of the all the cloth diaper options, you will also find wetbags, leg warmers, baltic amber necklaces and more! This shop has it all! Now, just when you think it doesn't get any better, it does...the prices will blow you away! Cloth diapers start at only $10!!

This diaper is very soft and has very strong elastic in the legs.
There are 3 rows for size adjustment. There are also hip snaps which help to prevent wing droop and get a better fit. (see picture below).
The inner fabric is very soft and seems to resist stains. BuBu has pooped a couple times in this diaper yet I have not noticed any stains after washing. I don't know about your little ones poop, but mine usually causes a light stain, which eventually comes out after being washed several times. The inner fabric is suedecloth.
The pocket opening is a bit small, but has a great stretch to it so it does not make it difficult to stuff.
This diaper fits wonderfully on BuBu when it is on the second to largest setting.

She weighs almost 19 lbs. I can imagine this diaper will fit her until potty training as there is a lot of room to grow. The microfiber insert is not bulky and is very absorbent. I have tested this diaper in practically every way and have not been let down. One thing I really love about this diaper is that it fits great under jeans. I also love the cute print, its softness and resistance to stains. I guess there is a whole lot to love about My Cloth Baby diapers!

To Purchase
You can purchase a My Cloth Baby diaper for just $10-$12 at My Cloth Baby on Hyenacart. That is an awesome deal!!! Be sure to check out the Deal of the Day!!
