I received the beautifully packaged fruit gift basket, pictured above, from Bella Viva Orchards Inc, to review. I am a huge fan of fresh fruit as well as dried fruit. My husband is a fan of nuts, especially almonds!

Before I go into detail on how the fruit tasted, I want to point out the gorgeous, eco-friendly package it came in. The box used to hold the fruit in place is made of peach wood, from their old peach tree! A peach tree that would have been burned up, when cut down. Now, if that doesn't make you want to get one for yourself, then maybe this will...

The raisins are absolutely the freshest and juiciest I have ever tasted. My kids love raisins and eat them almost daily. These went QUICK! My three girls did most of the damage. We ate some as a snack and I also used some for a popular recipe in my house, Picadillo. The raisins were my favorite of the bunch! I found myself questioning...how can a dried fruit be so juicy!?

Apricots and peaches are not among my top favorite fruit but I was quite pleased with these as well. The apricots looked tasty and were very flavorful. More flavor than I was imagining. The peaches looked a little on the dry side and were pretty chewy, but had delicious flavor. After reading up a bit on their dried fruit, I found that it is as simple as rinsing the fruit in water, draining well and putting back into the bag, to make them juicier. That's good to know! So if your dried fruit is too dry...just add water :)

Overall, I am very pleased with this Organic Dried Fruit & Nuts Gift. This would make a lovely Mother's Day gift as well as an any day gift.
