Potty Training with ecaPants! (Review & Giveaway) WW 9/7

EcaPants are a specially designed, patent pending, training pant for babies and caregivers practicing Elimination Communication (EC). EcaPants are also ideal for traditional potty learning for those children who still require assistance undressing, or for any child who hates changes!

EcaPants stay secure around a baby's waist during potty opportunities with a special belt, while the front panel flips down and back up again for quick and easy potty breaks. No more struggling with diaper changes all day long! Your little one can be standing, crawling, sitting, or laying down and ecaPants can be put on with ease. A truly unique advantage.(*info taken directly from the ecaWear website)

Potty training time is here! BuBu is now 22 months old and we have been in the first steps of potty training for about two months now.
I had the opportunity to review a pair of ecaPants from EcaWare Baby. I was so excited to try these because of their unique design. EcaPants have a unique belt feature that allows you to unfasten them without them coming off completely (see photo below)

The belt snaps closed around baby's waist. This stays fastened to hold the trainer on, even while they go potty. EcaPants were designed to make it easy for parents to get them off and on, even if baby is squirming, sitting or standing. Instead of pulling the trainers down and up, they can quickly be unfastened and flipped to the back, so the child can get to the potty.
EcaPants are a lot trimmer than cloth diapers and are about the same trimness as a pair of traditional training undies. Since they are not as bulky, that means they are also not as absorbent. EcaPants will hold no more than one pee so they need to be changed as soon as an accident occurs. I am able to tell right away, when BuBu has peed because some of the pee escapes the trainer.
After trial and error, I have found it helpful to add a couple cloth wipes, folded in half to the insert opening, located inside of the trainer. This helps absorb the pee...I would recommend this to anyone who uses these. It doesn't create bulk at all.
I have put two folded cloth wipes inside the diaper, to absorb pee. It is still not bulky~ very trim!

BuBu likes to go pee and poop on the potty, but once she is done, she wants to get away and play. Before we started using the ecaPants, BuBu would kick off her trainers and I would have to tackle her to get them back on once her potty break was over. No more of that with these ecaPants...they are so quick and easy to get back on! I love that the ecaPants are so easy to get back on. Just pull the front back up and fasten the velcro....and off she goes! This is easy to do with this child trying to get away, believe it or not!
Ignore the nappy hair, she just woke up from her nap :)

Why we love our ecaPants?
EcaPants have made our potty training experience so much easier. Having the easy closure with the trainer already attached to the waste reduces the time it takes to get the trainer on and off. EcaPants are machine washable and dryable too!
EcaPants are available in snaps and velcro closures. They also offer waterproof and non-waterproof. The non-waterproof trainers come in some super cute prints! The solid colors are waterproof.
