I can not stress the importance of proper tooth care for your little ones! Brushing and flossing are a great way to prevent tooth decay but it is still very important to have dental checkups every 6 months. Going to the dentist every six months can help a problem to be diagnosed early, before the decay gets to a painful point. There is a treatment and cure for tooth decay and your child's dentist can help!
I started taking my children to the dentist as soon as just a few teeth had come through. My three little girls are brushing every day, morning and night. My two oldest are flossing once a day as well. For some reason all of my little ones have crowded teeth so flossing has become a necessary step to keeping their teeth healthy.
