If You Care Products *Review and #Giveaway* US 1/12/12

IF YOU CARE is a company that sells products that are safe for both the environment and safe for humans. I had no idea that the bleaching process had such horrible environmental consequences until I read up on it!
If You Care paper is unbleached and always totally chlorine-free (TCF).
I have always tried to do my part taking care of our planet by not littering, recycling and being sure to turn off the lights when not in use. There is so much more I can do and every little bit counts.

If You Care sent me some of their products for review. I received their Recycled Aluminum Foil, Large Baking Cups, Snack and Sandwich Bags, Parchment Baking Paper, Waxed Paper and an IF YOU CARE T-Shirt. Right away, I was impressed when I started to read the packaging. The packaging itself was made from recycled cardboard!

I will start with my favorite of the products I reviewed. This is certainly a product that I will purchase in the future and highly recommend to all who love to bake!
If You Care Large Baking Cups!
On top of the environmentally friendly reasons to choose If You Care products, these products perform wonderfully! I made some muffins with these and I was more than pleased with the outcome. The packaging says there is no need to grease(or spray them with spray butter), like I usually would with other brands, so I didn't. The baking cups came right off and did not stick the my muffins! Beautiful, tasty muffins was the outcome.

If You Care Parchment Baking Paper
The If You Care Parchment Baking Paper is great for baking cookies! One thing I really love about this product is that it is reusable! I reused the same piece of paper for three batches of cookies! The cookies slid right off once they had cooled for a minute and the sheet was ready for the next batch of cookies! Now, these were some delicious cookies and were nice and golden on the underside. Not to put my baking skills down, but my cookies usually come out a bit burned on the bottom and I think I have If You Care to thank for these perfect cookies!

Recycled Aluminum Foil
If You Care Recycled Aluminum Foil is made with 100% recycled aluminum foil and is 100 % recyclable, providing your local recycling center accept aluminum foil. I don't use aluminum foil too often but when I do, I use it as a cover for a tupperware that has a missing lid. The If You Care aluminum foil was strong and worked great.

Waxed Paper
If You Care's 100% Soybean, all natural waxed paper has been used in many ways at my house. We buy our meats in bulk to save money and break it down into smaller, family sized portions at home. We pack each ziplock bag with enough for one meal and there is usually more room to spare. With our waxed paper, we were able to separate two meals and keep them in the same ziplock. All we did was lay a waxed paper in between the portions~ it keeps them from freezing to each other. If You Care Waxed Paper was also used for our chocolate dipped fruit. We dip bananas and strawberries in chocolate and freeze them. The chocolate does not stick to the waxed paper. Love this product!!

I am highly satisfied with all of the products I reviewed and I will definitely support this company by wearing the If You Care T-Shirt!
