@GladRags~Cotton Pads *Review and #Giveaway*

Our Story
Inspired by the simple utility, earth-friendliness, and comfort of cloth diapers, GladRags was founded in 1992 in Portland, Oregon. It began as a home based business that quickly outgrew the extra bedroom and moved to its own building.  Today, GladRags is still a small company but with a big presence, promoting positive attitudes toward menstruation and making the environment a safer, cleaner place. GladRags can be found in health food stores and natural pharmacies nationwide.~from the GladRag website

On my mission to be "greener", I have made the switch to cloth pads. I hadn't heard of such a thing until I started cloth diapering. If only I would have known sooner...

I was sent a GladRags package to review. This package includes (1)pantyliner, (1) Day Pad, and (1) Night/Postpartum Pad.

The Pantyliner:
Very basic(but pretty), one piece cotton pad. I found this one to be very useful towards the end of my period, when there was minimal flow. I had no leak issues and the pantyliner stayed in place at all times. Very comfortable as well. These are great for any day, even not during my menstrual cycle.
Available in a variety of pretty fabrics and organic undyed. They measure 6 3/4" long by 2 3/4" wide when snapped around your underwear. Price: 1pack~$11.99 or 3pack~$28.49

The Day Pad:

The Day Pad consists of one pad holder(approximately 9" long and 2 1/2" wide) and two inserts. Depending on your flow, you can add just one insert or add both. I used this on my second day when I have a high flow so I added both inserts. Even with both inserts, the pad was comfortable, stayed in place and absorbed very well. Price: 1pack~$13.99 or 3pack~$35.49

The Night/Postpartum Pad:
The Night/Postpartum pad set include one Night holder(approximately 14" long and 3" wide at the middle) and two inserts. This pad is made wider and longer for more coverage. It was very comfortable to sleep in, however, it was a little longer than I needed. That is just for me though, and others might not feel that way. The extra width is a great feature. It prevented the side leakage that I would normally get with disposables.
Price: {ON SALE} 1pack~$16.00 or 3pack~$44.00
Over all, I am very pleased with my new GladRags Cotton Pads!
